Exceptional Materials
Exceptional fabrics and trims exist all across the world. It's our job to find them - and if we can't, create them. Unconventional weaves. Rare materials. Unique dying techniques. We discover the wonders of fabric and share them with you.
If you can find something in a typical department store, it's not for us. We'd wear it, but we wouldn't make it. But ask us if we could make a cashmere jean or a silk ponte? That starts our wheels spinning.
Small Run
We find and import the best fabrics and trims in the world, wherever they exist. Then we cut and sew in the US. Just our raw materials cost, before duties and cut & sew and all the other costs, can be astronomical.
While we always have multiple fabrics and sample styles being developed for future innovations, typically we only have 1 or 2 products for sale at any given time. That's by design. It helps us and our suppliers.
Sustainable
The fashion industry is notoriously wasteful. Garments designed as cheaply as possible last less than a season. Colors and finishing treatments use toxic chemicals that harm the environment. Product development cycles necessitate inventory turnover at any cost.
We believe what's in your closet shouldn't harm our world. Everything we produce, down to the packaging we ship it to you in, is sustainable and limits our environmental impact.
Fresh Fabric: French Terry Merino
Think about your typical wool sweater or base layer. Now throw that thought away because this is not your typical wool. Gathered from the mountain tops of New Zealand, then milled in Japan, this brilliant fabric was developed with a durable outer face and a buttery soft French terry interior. This is the best wool we've ever seen.
